Welcome to the Paediatric Centre
We know that coming into hospital as an adult can
be daunting but as a parent bringing their child in it can be an
especially stressful time.
Our experienced team of Paediatric Specialists and clinical support
staff at the Bupa Cromwell Paediatric Centre provide a wide
range of services for children of all ages, from simple daycase
procedures to the more complex procedures now practiced in
paediatric medicine and surgery. Below are some of the facilities
which we offer in our Paediatric Centre.
It is made up of a dedicated child
friendly Paediatric ward (Starfish Ward) with integral operating
theatre (Rainbow Theatre), and a dedicated Paediatric
Outpatient Department. We are one of only two private
London hospitals to have a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit
(PICU).
Our first floor Paediatric Outpatient
Department offers daily clinics for a wide range of
specialities for the new born baby through to teenagers. Our
Paediatricians are available for consultation six days a week
and provide a 24hr on call service.
The Paediatric Centre is equipped with a secure access system to
ensure the safety of the children at all times.
The unit's activity and play centre provides activities for both
children and adolescents, with a great range of books,
music, games and toys including a Play Station 2 and Xbox.
