Bupa Cromwell Hospital Shortlisted for Two Laing & Buisson
Healthcare Awards 2009
10 June 2009
Bupa Cromwell Hospital is very proud to announce that it has
been shortlisted in two categories of the prestigious Laing &
Buisson Independent Healthcare Awards 2009.
We have been short listed for the brand new category
Best Use of Technology, which looks at how
technology is best used to enhance patient/service user care. In
our entry we highlighted the fact that we were the first centre to
offer patients the revolutionary TomoTherapy Hi-Art
System ®, enabling us to provide
patients with treatment that had been previously deemed impossible.
This in turn has improved our patients’ quality of life and
provided them with a valuable lifeline.
We have also been shortlisted for the Hotel Services
Award, underlining the personal and professional service we offer to our
patients, visitors and staff. For this award we drew attention
to the regular interaction between our Hotel Services Team and
staff, patients and visitors through staff and patient surveys. Our
chefs regularly make ward visits to monitor patients’ needs and
managers go on walkabouts, scoring each area for cleanliness and
hygiene. We also implement a strong training and development
programme. We have received the Hospitality Assured Award for the past four
years, improving our score every year, showing our commitment to
always improving Bupa Cromwell Hospital services.
Congratulations to our nominees on being shortlisted. We wish them
good luck at the Gala Dinner Awards ceremony on 22 September 2009
at the London Hilton Park Lane, where the winners will be
announced.
