Supporting our local
community
As the leading private hospital in the Borough
of Kensington and Chelsea, Bupa Cromwell Hospital supports
organisations that are committed to improving the health and
wellbeing of the local community.
As part of the Bupa family we are committed to
supporting Bupa’s Community Connections. Bupa launched
Community Connections in 2001 to co-ordinate, recognise and support
employee volunteering and fundraising within the communities in
which their employees live and work. Key areas of focus are
health, education and care for older people.
In September 2008, Bupa Cromwell Hospital
supported the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and helped raise over
£2,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Our hospital was the first to open a private radiotherapy
department and as we continue to specialise in cancer treatment, we
were pleased to support this charity.
Last month our hospital sponsored an annual
event held at the Kensington and Chelsea Town Hall known as Well
Being for Life. The event was run by the charity
Sixty Plus, which promotes the
well being of people over sixty in the
borough.
During the summer 2008, we sponsored the
Earls Court Community Festival which
took place in Nevern Square. This organisation aims to bring
together the diverse populations of the Earl's Court area and
promote a shared sense of belonging in the community.
The Bupa Cromwell Hospital welcomes registered
charitable groups and organisations to contact us, particularly if
their values and goals are to improve the health and wellbeing of
local communities.
