Hospital wins award for hotel
services

The Hotel Services team at Bupa Cromwell
Hospital is very pleased to announce that it has been presented
with Laing & Buisson’s Hotel Services award. Close attention to
detail and constant monitoring of their services to patients,
visitors and staff has ensured that the hospital’s Hotel Services
team provides a first class service which is efficient, responsive
and consistently first rate.
With this award the Hotel Services team had to
demonstrate their outstanding achievements in food preparation and
provision, the prevention and management of hospital acquired
infection, and how they had created an innovative and strong
training and development programme for all staff.
Frequent staff and patient surveys have proved
a very effective way of finding out how people rate the hospital’s
hotel services, redressing any concerns quickly and efficiently.
Our hospital chefs regularly make ward visits, talking with both
patients and nurses to gain an insight into patients’ needs.
Hospital managers also do regular walkabouts, scoring individual
areas for cleanliness and hygiene. There is a strong staff training
and development programme and excellent team communication which
mean low staff turnover and a very focused, tight-knit team.
