Cardiology

 

The Cardiology Department provides a comprehensive range of cardiac investigations as well as providing acute monitoring for all cardiac catheter cases in the Angiography Suite. All reports are reported by a team of Consultant Cardiologists and dispatched within 24 - 48 hours by special courier service in the London area. The Department also offers 24hr technician cover for acute emergencies.nurse taking patient blood pressure


Services
  • Routine 12 lead electrocardiograms
  • Exercise stress tests
  • Echocardiograms with Doppler
    • - EGG, echo with doppler, 24hr blood pressure monitoring
    • Myoview exercise tests in conjunction with the Nuclear Medicine Department. Myoview scans involve a short half-life isotope giving greater sensitivity in the detection of minor cardiac defects.

Additional Information
All tests require an appointment except routine 12 lead ECG’s and spirometry.

Doctors can refer patients using printed request forms which are available by download below, directly from Cardiology or alternatively please call the Department directly (contact details to the right) to make an appointment.

How members of the public can access the department
Patients must be referred by their Doctor.
