Investors in People

The Investors in People Standard is a business development tool, designed to ensure that a workforce’s learning and development is clearly linked into an organisation's goals and objectives.

The hospital was first measured against the Standard in 1998 and has been re-assessed periodically over the past 10 years, with the next re-assessment due in 2009.

The Investors in People Standard indicates that Bupa Cromwell Hospital:

  • Is committed to supporting the development of its people, in line with the Hospital’s aims and objectives.
  • Has a plan with clear aims and objectives which are understood by everyone.
  • That people are encouraged to improve their own and other people’s performance and understand the impact of the development of people on the performance of the organisation, teams and individuals
  • That people believe their contribution to the organisation is recognised.
  • Is committed to ensuring equality of opportunity in the development of its people.
